At Parkwood Community Project, we’re more than just a local charity—we’re a lifeline for
those navigating tough times. Based at the Drop By Centre on Sycamore Avenue, Huddersfield, we open
our doors every week to provide a warm meal, a safe space, a listening ear…...and plenty more.
Whether it's our community breakfasts, wellbeing activities, or children's clubs, everything
we do is about encouraging hope and resilience. Every time we welcome someone through
our doors, we believe it’s another chance to offer hope and rebuild confidence.

Our Story
Parkwood Community Project began with a simple idea: creating a space where everyone feels welcome and supported. For years, we’ve been gathering in our Drop By Centre on Sycamore Avenue, sharing warmth, meals, and conversations. Our story is about small but powerful moments—making a cup of tea for someone on a cold morning, seeing kids find joy in play, offering a breakfast to start the day right. These everyday acts bring people together, helping neighbours turn to each other in times of need and reminding us all that we’re not alone.
